These photos are all taken from space and show some phenomena from a point of view we don't usually see - such as my favourite, a total solar eclipse from above. Not a very 'hard science' first post, but hey, it's Friday.
It's also November 2nd, and I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, so I'm busy pounding the keyboard for purposes other than blogging. This is my 4th year at it, and I'm determined to (finally) write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. No exams to interfere, and no homework I should be doing - it's going well. 2500 words or so, if you're interested ;-)

eee! A fellow scientist who also writes stories! Awesome. I thought about doing the NaNoWriMo last year, before realising that with my degree as well I simply didn't have the time. Which was a pity, because it's something I'd like to do a lot. Maybe next year, in summer some time (which would make it more a NaJuWriMo but there you go. How did the end product turn out?
It was...interesting. It was a sci-fi thing that ended up way more epic than intended! So it comes to rather an abrupt ending, and I haven't bothered fixing it up since then (I can never get into editing/finishing NNWM stuff, it's like the end of November is the end of that project for me).
